Nursing is a dynamic field offering many diverse leadership opportunities. To be effective in the role of a nurse leader, the individual must understand their own Emotional Intelligence strengths and weaknesses. This course will review key concepts of Emotional Intelligence, as well as how to apply Emotionally Intelligent traits to key nursing leadership skills. These skills include effective communication with all members of the healthcare team, as well as coaching and mentoring skills.
